The clearing and maintenance center is part of the standard technical facilities and operations for trains.

The complex was built for DSB, Danish State Railways, for maintenance, cleaning and catering of IC3/IC4 trains in conjunction with the move of the line’s terminal station from Copenhagen to Kastrup.

The complex is comprised of a clearing hanger and maintenance hangar connected with catering and the various other service functions. Meeting rooms are situated in the tower which defines the entrance to the complex. The center also includes a cleaning hanger and a combined heat and power plant which are situated independently.
