The competition proposal was created in collaboration with French design studio Brunet Saunier.

The main idea behind the proposal was to compliment Bispebjerg Hospital's master plan and historical axis. The hospital had to comply with the master plan, which means that the base containing all hospital sections had to be terraced and a series of public living gardens had to be attached to its roof and reached via Spanish stairs in connection with the axis. The base was thus experienced as a continuation of the terraced Bispebjerg Hill. The room wings had to be adapted in length and layout to Nyrup's historic hospital buildings.
