The trends shaping tomorrow's hotels
02
Guests want both the reassurance of a well-known brand and an experience they can't get anywhere else. This is changing the way hotels are conceived, designed and operated. PLH's architects Lars Toksvig, Ida Kleve and Søren Mølbak share their take on the trends that matter right now.

Lyngby Storcenter & Comwell
The hotel is integrated with the Lyngby Storcenter shopping centre, and will feature a rooftop restaurant, co-working areas and meeting facilities. A café at the entrance and access from both the street and the shopping centre open up the hotel to the city.

Ida Kleve, Architect, PLHTourists want authentic and honest experiences that reflect how people live in the city they visit. That is why Copenhagen's city hotels should tap into the urban context and the way Copenhageners live.

Hotel boom in Copenhagen
04
Copenhagen's hotel market is booming. Sites are scarce, demand is high, and guests want more than a bed and a breakfast buffet. At PLH, we see how architecture can create hotels that are both good business and an asset to the city.

Featured project
05
Scandic Nørreport
We transformed an empty building into an urban hotel in the heart of Nørreport in Copenhagen, complete with a sky bar and new, differently conceived room concepts.

Venders Copenhagen Hotel Apartments
We converted offices into hotel apartments. They can later be converted into homes, which gives investors security proving that the project has sustainable potential.

Marriott Hotel
