Dynamic headquarters designed for a good working life
DSV HQ3
DSV HQ3 builds on the story of a company in growth and constant motion. As a natural extension of DSV’s headquarters in Hedehusene, the building continues the shared identity and structural logic of the existing office, while at the same time presenting its own distinctive architectural expression. With its open, dynamic, and flexible framework, the building is not only forward-looking but also focused on creating a good working life, where people and well-being are at the center.

Summary
A flexible building for a company in growth
As DSV continued to grow, a natural need for more space emerged, leading to the development of HQ3. It’s a new facility connected to the existing headquarters to support DSV’s administration. The existing headquarters, known as HQ1 and HQ2, were also designed by PLH. The goal has been to create a building that matches the existing office and operational facilities in both quality and function, while at the same time adding new layers to the overall experience for employees and visitors.
The hilltop office
The location of HQ3 on a hilltop has required careful adaptation to the terrain and the creation of an arrival experience that feels natural and welcoming. A newly built road winds its way through the undulating landscape, gently guiding employees and visitors toward the newly established parking facilities. The simple, horizontal lines of the architecture give the structure a sense of lightness and anchor it in the landscape, while the view across the open countryside becomes an integral part of the working day.
Well-being and a varied working day at the center
DSV HQ3 has been created with an emphasis on a flexible and dynamic office that accommodates the company’s continued growth. With a focus on work environment, functionality, and aesthetics, the building carries forward both the workplace strategy and the architectural principles of the existing headquarters – now reinterpreted in a new and distinctive form.
Nature plays a central role in the design. A green courtyard and workspaces along the façades ensure generous daylight and views of the surrounding landscape, creating a close connection between indoors and outdoors. Inside, materials such as stone floors and ash wood paneling tie the building together in a warm, Nordic tone, while the dark anodized façade grounds the structure in the terrain and gives it a vivid, nuanced expression within the colors of nature.
Like the rest of the DSV campus, HQ3 is designed with a strong focus on collaboration and well-being. Open office areas, meeting rooms, and informal breakout zones support flexible and varied work patterns, while break areas, a padel court, and access to green outdoor spaces invite movement and social interaction. Everything has been carefully considered to create an inspiring and varied working day for DSV’s employees.
