Summary

Connecting Hedehusene and Warsaw through design

After designing DSV’s global headquarters in Hedehusene, PLH was tasked with creating a corresponding office building in Warsaw. The objective was to carry forward the strong and distinctive identity of the Danish headquarters. An identity that reflects both DSV’s brand and its Scandinavian roots.

One Company – One DSV

The headquarters in Hedehusene serves as a clear expression of DSV’s philosophy: One company – One DSV. This is manifested through a simple and modern building that reflects the company’s global identity while supporting collaboration, wellbeing, and growth. The same approach has been implemented in Warsaw, where the building is structured across seven floors surrounding an open central atrium. The resemblance to the Danish headquarters is also evident in the use of natural, light-toned materials and the strong emphasis on maximizing daylight. From the outside, the rounded corners and metal façade with horizontal lines provide an instantly recognizable connection between the two buildings.

A social and vibrant work environment

The building is designed to support a social and dynamic work environment characterized by close collaboration, a flat hierarchy, and short decision-making processes. Employees benefit from a varied workday with access to informal café areas, meeting rooms, work lounges, and quiet zones. The building also includes a fitness center and an employee restaurant that supports communal dining. From the restaurant, there is access to outdoor areas, and each floor features a series of outdoor balconies. With its transparent façades, welcoming main entrance, and prominent location close to the main street towards the city, DSV achieves strong visibility and natural branding as an attractive workplace with a vibrant culture and dynamic working environment.
