PLH Arkitekter is growing and has generated the second highest turnover in its history

PLH Arkitekter’s 2021 annual report is testament to yet another year of significant growth. Revenue has increased to DKK 104.6 million, which is the company’s second highest ever. The excellent financial year is the result of a growing demand for workplace design, life science expertise and sustainable architecture.

PLH Arkitekter has had a 2021 with phones ringing off the hook and filled order books. This is reflected in the company’s annual report, which sees revenues rise to DKK 104.6 million. A 14% increase, this is the second largest in the company's 47-year history. Meanwhile, pre-tax profit grew for the fourth year in a row and reached DKK 15.4 million in 2021, a growth of 19%.

To a large extent, this success is generated by demand from new as well as existing customers for PLH’s expertise, when it comes to designing flexible, tailor-made office environments:

“With the country's largest and most experienced workplace design team, we are in a very favorable position when it comes to meeting the massive needs found among companies of all sizes to set up office environments to better support the general increase in remote working, virtual working and digital meetings. Throughout 2021, we have created such innovative office designs for companies including Maersk, Maersk Drilling, DSV and Ørsted,” says Søren Mølbak, CEO and Partner at PLH Arkitekter.

The studio has experienced an increased demand, not only in its workplace design services, but also in infrastructure, life science and green solutions. This is also reflected in the number of employees, which in 2021 increased by 17% to 95 people. Today, just two months into 2022, the number has grown to 120.

PLH’s resolve always to be able to offer customers advice from the industry's sharpest and most specialized experts is one of the main reasons why more clients are choosing to work with PLH Arkitekter, explains Søren Mølbak:

“Our success can largely be attributed to our ability to provide a wide range of customers with what they demand, in the form of future-proof quality construction that meets the highest standards in sustainability certifications such as DGNB, while at the same time respecting financial and time constraints.”
