City Hall Hjortespring has now been handed over to Herlev Municipality

The construction of Herlev's future City Hall Hjortespring, designed by PLH Arkitekter, is now so far progressed that the building has been handed over by general contractor Hoffmann to the municipality.

The citizens of Herlev are now one step closer to start using their new city hall, as the building has been handed over to the municipality. It now awaits furnishing after which, employees can move in.

The new building will house office workplaces for three of the municipality's centers – Center for Daycare and School, Center for Children, Youth and Families, and the youth department from Center for Job, Education and Citizen Services.

The city hall is designed to function a modern assembly hall, where citizens and associations can gather for meetings and events even outside of normal working hours.

The construction covers a total of 2,000 m² spread across two levels and has a dynamic floor plan that makes it possible to continuously adapt the building so that the surroundings are always optimized for the tasks associated with the building's 85 workplaces.
