Summary

Architecture that reflects a global tech leader

PLH has designed the new headquarters, R&D and production facility for Newtec – a family-owned company and global frontrunner in high-tech sorting and packaging solutions for fresh produce. The buildings express Newtec’s dual identity: a modern, technology-driven business rooted in people and purpose. With strong architectural character and a carefully curated interior, the buildings bring together focus, hospitality, and high performance.

A future-forward home for innovation and production

Located as a landmark visible from the motorway and close to the university in Odense, the new complex unites administration, research, and production in one coherent facility. As architectural consultants, PLH designed both the physical setting and internal flow – from reception to production line – to support Newtec’s ambitions for continued global growth and talent attraction.

Empowering innovation through space and identity

Innovation thrives in environments that are both functional and emotionally engaging with transparency across floors. From early programming to final detail, we worked to create a building that inspires deep focus and team spirit alike. Combining human-centred workspaces with high-performance architecture, the design enables Newtec to stay ahead in a competitive tech market while staying true to its family-owned DNA.

Where high-tech precision meets warm materiality

At the heart of the headquarters lies an open atrium, where a sculptural staircase winds its way from the reception and upwards, merging movement and welcome. Inside, rich walnut wood and refined details soften the high-tech atmosphere, while dedicated R&D zones integrate tools and references that spark exploration. The form and materiality of the buildings signal both global vision and local care – a true home for world-class innovation.
