Purpose-built campus with eye on future legacy
Everllence Valley Campus
Everllence is one of the world’s leading engine manufacturers, developing marine engines for the majority of freight and container ships. After many years operating across multiple locations in Denmark, a consolidated campus is now being built in Hedehusene with offices, production facilities, a test center, storage facilities, and a social hub. PLH, together with NIRAS and Opland, has prepared the construction program for the design-build tender competition and the team serves as client advisor.
A campus for the world’s leading engine manufacturers
Everllence wanted a headquarters and campus where the Danish division can grow and innovate. At the same time, there was a desire to establish an environment that supports the development and testing of new fuel technologies within safe and efficient conditions.
The Valley-campus
The project is called The Valley Campus and is located on the site of a former gravel pit in Hedehusene, 40 km west of Copenhagen. The total land area is 175,000 m², of which 70,000 m² will be developed.
Creating the foundation for tomorrow’s solutions
The Valley Campus will accommodate at least 1,500 workplaces, educational facilities, a meeting and visitor center, as well as a testing center dedicated to the development of ammonia-powered engines. The project addresses the specific needs of the employees, the technologies, and Everllence’s ambitions to decarbonize marine engines – and helps shape a new future for the global shipping industry.
PLH, together with NIRAS and Opland, has prepared the construction program for the tender process, and the team is acting as the client's consultant, responsible for ensuring that the project realises Everllence's strategic goals through functional and future-proof construction.
