PLH designing Newtec’s new headquarters
PLH is behind the design of Newtec’s upcoming headquarters, development and production facility, uniting global technology leadership with strong local roots on the island of Funen.

At the motorway entrance to Odense, a new and distinctive building will soon rise – Newtec’s future headquarters, bringing administration, R&D and production together under one roof. Designed by PLH, the building supports Newtec’s position as a global frontrunner in high-tech sorting and packing solutions for fresh foods.
From Funen to the world
With a location highly visible from the motorway and close to the University of Southern Denmark, the new headquarters will play a strategic role as both a local landmark and a platform for global innovation. Newtec is a family-owned company with customers in more than 50 countries, and the building is designed to attract talented employees from Denmark and abroad.
Architecture with precision and personality
PLH has acted as architectural advisor on the project, designing the exterior architecture, interior spaces and the flow from reception to production line. The result is a building that combines technological precision with warm, tactile materials.
At the heart of the building is an open atrium, where a sculptural staircase connects the floors. Inside, the use of materials such as walnut wood creates a welcoming atmosphere that balances the high-tech environment with a strong human dimension.
“Our ambition was to unite Newtec’s high-tech profile with a strong human focus. The architecture should be functional, inspiring and identity-defining – a place that brings out the best in people,” says Søren Mølbak, CEO of PLH.
PLH has collaborated with Niras as engineers. Rambøll is acting as client advisor.
Construction is expected to begin in 2026.
