GF Huset opens: Architecture that brings people together
Today, GF Forsikring's employees move into their new domicile in Cortex Park, Odense, designed by PLH. The building is organized around a bright, central atrium and flexible environments that will strengthen community, wellbeing and collaboration for many years to come.

After several years of development and construction, GF Forsikring today, 20 October, takes its new domicile into use. The building, GF Huset, covers just over 16,000 m². It was developed for AP Ejendomme and built by the turnkey contractor Raundahl & Moesby. PLH is behind the architecture and interior design.
GF Forsikring's growing membership in recent years has created a need for more space and a new setting. The building has therefore been tailored to GF's organisation, culture and way of working. It is designed for approximately 500 physical workstations, with room for gradual expansion.
A building that brings out the best in people
At PLH, we work to bring out the best in people through the transformative power of architecture and design. At GF Huset, this has been at the heart of the entire design.
At the centre of the building is an atrium. Open connections between the floors create visual contact across the building and make it natural to meet, share knowledge and feel part of the community.
The atrium is full of daylight and holds flexible work and meeting environments. Together with calm office areas along the façade, they make room for wellbeing and for many different ways of working, today and in the future. The aim has been to create a vibrant and inspiring building for employees, members and guests alike.
Many ambitions in one unified solution
The task has been to unite the ambitions of several parties. GF Forsikring wanted a modern domicile, AP Ejendomme aimed for an attractive long-term property investment, and Raundahl & Moesby brought its construction expertise.
"Today we have one unified architectural solution that brings together GF Forsikring's wishes for a modern domicile, AP Ejendomme's ambition to create an attractive long-term property investment and Raundahl & Moesby's construction expertise. The entire process has been characterized by excellent collaboration between all parties. The result is a modern workplace with a particular focus on strong communal areas and a high degree of flexibility, able to support GF Forsikring's development for many years to come," says Lars Toksvig, Partner at PLH.
We would like to thank AP Ejendomme, GF Forsikring, Raundahl & Moesby and Sweco, as well as the many subcontractors, for an open and trusting collaboration throughout the project.
High ambitions for sustainability and futureproofing
Sustainability has been a central focus throughout the project. The building is expected to achieve DGNB Gold certification. It has also been developed to meet the EU Taxonomy requirements for new construction under activity 7.1.
The project team has worked with resource optimization, energy-efficient solutions and material choices that reduce environmental impact and support a long lifespan. The building's flexible layout also means it can be adapted to future needs without extensive conversion.
