The new sports arena is part of the cultural program of Holstebro and will address the city’s need for elite handball and cultural events.

The front facade of the arena acts as a giant billboard with its silkscreen motif of athletes. Especially at night, the building illuminates and spreads the message about activity in the arena. The color concept is derived from the logo colours of the home team - Team Tvis. The red color of the facade is echoed in the interior, such as through the red flooring, with its free-form pattern of different types of sports fields. The hall can accommodate 2,750 sitting spectators and 500 standing spectators.

PLH won the competition for the new arena in 2009. The judging committee stated: ”the open, informal appearance matches the expectations one may have for a contemporary sports experience.”
